Exploring the GMT-Master II 116718LN

Today, we are going to take a closer look at the GMT-Master II 116718LN. At a glance, this model stands out in any collection. The color combination is sure to catch one's eye, and some might say it’s a show stopper. With any Rolex, beauty is found in the details, so let's take a deeper dive to see what's on the inside.

GMT Master II 116718LN

This model was introduced in 2005 as the 50th anniversary of the GMT-Master II. It has a 40mm case, made thicker than earlier models, that is 18K Yellow Gold. This gold case is paired with a ceramic bezel. The 116718LN was the first model to introduce a ceramic bezel. It was also the first model to have a triple lock crown, and the crown itself is also yellow gold. The dial of this model is a rich green color, which really pops with the black bezel and gold case. The dial was also a first of its kind, being named the Maxi Dial. It has a water resistance up to 100 meters, keeping the automatic 3186 calibre safe when submerged in water.

Rolex leaves no details out when releasing a watch, and we see that when taking a look at the bracelet for the 116718LN. A yellow gold oyster link bracelet was released with this model, but it's not your average oyster bracelet. The center links in this bracelet are polished instead of brushed. This oyster link bracelet uses the easy link system in order to adjust the size perfectly for your wrist at the clasp.
