WindUp Watch Fair 2019: New York City Here We Come

WindUp in New York looking at watches

We can’t believe it’s time again for Worn&Wound’s 2019 WindUp Watch Fair, October 25-27. This event is one of our favorites to participate in as we get to see so many of our favorite people in the industry and get to know the watch enthusiasts who are interested in MONTA watches or Everest watch bands and accessories.

The Ninth Street Espresso stand right across from the WindUp hall is our favorite off-site gathering spot. Of course, we plan to eat as many great meals as we can while in New York City and expect lots of pizza (plain slices, naturally) will be consumed.

Back to the watches. MONTA is bringing its complete lineup, including the new no-date Oceanking and the very popular Atlas, our take the gentleman’s GMT. We be dishing about our releases in development, and for many seeing our watches in person is a revelation,

On the Everest side, there will be an opportunity to see all of our straps, including our very new strap for Panerai Luminor models. Paneristi should be very pleased with our curved-end leather straps, which are ideal for fall/winter style.

Of course, we will love seeing Bill Yao, owner of MKII, a pioneer in the independent watch scene. Damasko’s tech innovations have been an inspiration to us. The folks at Oris always bring a strong lineup to the event, and we never tire of seeing the sheer range of styles they bring to the table (pun intended). Zodiac, as we saw in Baselworld earlier this year, continues to standout with heritage-inspired divers that are unapologetically bold.

Many of the smaller independents we also love checking out. There’s a sense of solidarity within brands at WindUp as we believe the collectively we help each other grow as we generate more interest in watches.
