Watches & Wonders Geneva 2022: Everything You Need to Know

Watches and Wonders Geneva 2022 Trade Show

Watches & Wonders Geneva 2022 is right around the corner, which means that we are just a couple of weeks away from the announcement of countless new luxury timepieces. With Baselworld dead (at least for now), Watches & Wonders has become the industry’s preeminent trade show, and many top brands including Rolex and Patek Philippe will be exhibiting their new models at this year’s live event in Geneva. For watch enthusiasts all around the globe, this is arguably the most exciting time of the year, so here’s a quick overview of everything that you need to know about Watches & Wonders Geneva 2022.

Watches and Wonders Geneva 2022

What Is Watches & Wonders Geneva?

While Baselworld was the industry’s most prominent trade show for decades, Watches & Wonders Geneva is a relatively new name on the scene, as it has only existed for the last few years. Formerly known as the ‘Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie’ (or simply called “SIHH” unless you have a fantastic Swiss-French accent), the event was rebranded as Watches & Wonders Geneva in October 2019, but it was forced to adopt a completely digital format for the rebranded show’s debut the following year due to COVID-19 restrictions.

However, since the worst of the pandemic now seems to be behind us and restrictions on social gatherings have largely been lifted, Watches & Wonders Geneva is finally able to exist as a proper in-person trade show for the first time this year. With that in mind, the event will still include a digital platform, so that those who aren’t able to make it to the in-person show can still follow along with all of the new releases, panel discussions, and digital presentations. A total of 38 brands will be participating, including many of the industry’s most famous names who have historically released their new models at Baselworld, and this year’s edition of Watches & Wonders Geneva is poised to be a noteworthy and memorable event.
