Earlier this year, we were incredibly excited to see Rolex’s new releases. We also took a closer look at what was missing from Rolex’s website. And the most obvious piece? Leather watch bands on Rolex models. Now, you may think, Rolex never has sports models on leather watch bands, but they once did. Currently, the Rolex Cellini, Rolex’s unique dress watch line, is the only model you can purchase with a Rolex leather watch band. But, that’s where Everest steps in because you may want to rock a fall leather watch band trend, or accessorize your watch for the holidays. We offer multiple lines and styles for Rolex sports models, and we haven’t left out the Vintage lines. Everest offers leather watch bands for Rolex vintage GMT models, vintage Submariner models, and Datejust models.
Everest offers 5 beautiful Swiss-Made leather watch bands with two durable buckle options for each of these older Rolex models. These Swiss-made aftermarket watch bands are the perfect solution to give your bracelet a break. Or, if your bracelet has simply stretched beyond use, you can still rock your favorite nostalgic timepiece with a reliable and worthy-of-a-Rolex leather watch band.
The leather is Italian vegetable tanned leather with a hypoallergenic lining. The strap is specifically designed to compliment the fine features and smaller case sizes of the vintage models. With smaller pin holes and tongue, the buckle compliments the thinner lugs on your Rolex model. Let’s take a closer look at some beautiful vintage models revived.
The 38mm Rolex GMT 1675 was produced between 1959 and 1980, and the 16750 was produced between 1980 until 1988. Some Pepsi bezels have faded through the years, but this heirloom is not one for the coffers yet. Strap up with a beautiful Everest tan leather watch band with a gold buckle to gobble that turkey this year. Or, if you’re lucky enough to own one of the beloved Rolex GMT Root Beers, it pairs perfectly with a brown alligator embossed leather watch strap. Shop Everest Bands for your Rolex GMT 1675 or 16750 here.
Next up, your vintage Rolex Submariner models: 5512, 5513, and 1680. The Rolex Submariner 5512 was produced between 1959 and 1978. The 5513 was placed into production in 1962 and was manufactured until 1989 - one of Rolex’s longest production runs because of its incredible popularity. Both models did not have a date like its successor, the 1680 which was produced beginning in 1969 with the Rolex Red Submariner. The word “Submariner” was written in red on the dial, hence the nickname. In 1973, it was switched to white. But, we believe this red appearance on Rolex’s dive watches inspired many other design elements in other dive watches as well including the Sea-Dweller 43mm. The vintage Rolex Submariner models pair beautifully with a black Everest alligator embossed leather strap or a black with contrast stitching leather strap.
