Tudor 2023 releases

The time has come, that the watch world goes bananas. Today is the first day of 2023 Watches & Wonders (the show that replaced Baselworld), and with that countless watch brands show off their new designs for all of us to lust after. One brand that has stolen my heart, Tudor, released some new offerings that we will briefly touch on. Expect a more indepth article on each release as the day and week goes on. Let’s start with the new little guy, the Tudor Black Bay 54.

The New Tudor Black Bay 54

The Tudor Black Bay 54 is a 37mm case version of the Black Bay Fifty Eight! It has a slightly different coloring as the classic Fifty Eight, with a silver accented bezel. The design takes its inspiration from the 1954 release of the Tudor 7922. It utilizes a Tudor in-house movement and comes on a steel bracelet and a rubber strap option that utilizes the Tudor buckle. Priced at $3,850.00 on bracelet and $3,625.00 on rubber, expect this to be a sought after timepiece. Moving onto the remodeled 41mm Black Bay.

New Tudor Black Bay 2023

Next up is a newly designed Black Bay - the original diver released back in 2012, but updated. From the website, only the red bezel version is completely new. This model comes on a new rubber strap and two new bracelet options. Tudor now offers this model on an oyster style bracelet and a jubilee style. All of them utilize the t-fit clasp that we all love! We have not been able to confirm this, but assuming that it uses the ceramic Tudor Black Bay design language, the 41mm case is most likely thinner. On rubber the watch is $4,125.00, the oyster bracelet version is $4,350.00 and the Jubilee is $4,450.00. Next up is a new dial variation for the Black Bay GMT.

New Black Bay GMT 2023

This gorgeous Black Bay GMT now is offered in a white dial. This obviously GMT Master Albino inspired watch is frankly a show stopper. This writer believes there are no additional changes to the case, bracelet or movement from the original Tudor Black Bay GMT. However the White dial is simply beautiful. Next we move into the classically inspired models that have some new offerings. The bracelet version is available for $4,300.00 and the fabric strap version is available for $3,975.00.

New Tudor Black Bay Sizes and Colors

Black Bay 31/36/39/41 now comes in a beautiful blue sunburst with a jubilee style bracelet. This model received a pretty major update last year. This design has been Tudor’s answer to a sporty watch in a multitude of sizes in the classically inspired Datejust style of watch. 

The New Tudor Royal 2023

Lastly, the Tudor Royal has a few new faces. The different sizes range from $3,725.00 to $4,050.00. The Tudor Royal is now offered in a Chocolate brown dial accented in yellow gold bezel and bracelet center links. This has been a watch that many are gravitated towards. Due to the block style cut case and integrated bracelet, it definitely gives Genta vibes! This new version can be had for $3,625.00.

Overall this year has been a refinement of Tudor’s offerings. They have given us some more colors and smaller sized watches to really round out our desires. I love Tudor. They really have done what they should be with finding ways to give each collector what they want with this new set of releases.
