This Tutima’s A Patek Killer

tutima watch

The Patek Philippe Calatrava… you know the one. The beautifully understated three handed dress watch. Yes. I thought you did. Well there are of course, many watches which would dethrone the King. And I’m here to tell you that one of them is the Tutima Patria.

The Patria may seem a bit large at 43mm, but at 9.7mm thick and with nicely rounded edges, it should still fit quite nicely under the cuff of your evening shirt.

The Patria comes in two versions – a three-hander with small seconds, and a dual time zone model with the additional hour hand occupying the small seconds dial along with the seconds hand. Dial options are baton hour markers or Arabic numerals. The batons are a tad dressier, but I like the numerals.

You can get the Patria in any metal you want, as long as you want rose gold. But it’s a very handsome watch indeed. Both versions are hand-wound, with Tutima’s in-house calibre 617 driving the Patria Small Second and calibre 619 purring away inside the Patria Dual.

You’re going to be snuggling up to a $20,000 price point with either watch ($18,900 and $19,900), but that’s really competitive for an 18K gold dress watch with a hand-wound, in-house movement made in Glashütte.
