Possible Rolex Leak — New GMT-Master II
It's getting pretty exciting around here. Rolex is roughly seventy-two hours away from revealing its 2026 releases, and the rumor mill online is going absolutely bananas. One very recent possible leak caught our attention involving the Rolex GMT-Master II lineup. Let's take a closer look at what it could mean.

The supposed Rolex "leak" from @the.original.oc on Instagram
The possible leak, seen on Instagram from @the.original.oc, appears to show a blue-dial BLNR GMT-Master II. To be clear, we do not know who runs that account, but what was shown does strike us as plausible. One detail that immediately stood out was the URL, which lists the reference as 136710. The trailing zero indicates a steel model, and the shift from 126 to 136 would suggest an entirely new case generation — something more significant than a dial refresh. Not everyone is convinced it's real, and that reference progression is part of why: a new case generation would be a major announcement, and some in the community are calling it fake on those grounds alone.

One possibility, if genuine, is a ceramic dial — similar to what Rolex recently introduced on the white gold GMT-Master II with the green dial and matching green-and-black ceramic bezel. Rolex has often introduced new ideas in precious metal first before allowing them to work their way into steel or two-tone models a year later. That pattern alone gives this rumor some credibility. It's also worth noting what a colored ceramic dial on a steel sports model would actually mean historically: the only precedent is the Hulk, making this the second instance of Rolex putting a colored dial on a steel sports reference — if it's real.
There is also the question of execution. Matching ceramic color perfectly to a lacquer dial would be difficult for most manufacturers, but Rolex controls both dial and bezel production in-house. That gives them an unusual advantage when it comes to testing color consistency and refining the final result. For that reason alone, the concept feels more realistic than many of the leaks circulating right now.

Mock-up of red-and-black 'Coke' Rolex GMT-Master II with ceramic bezel
A new GMT Coke has dominated speculation for years, and truthfully, this annual guessing game is part of what makes watch collecting so enjoyable. We still have no real idea whether this leak carries any real weight, but among the many rumors circulating ahead of launch, this possible blue-dial GMT-Master II BLNR feels like one of the more believable ones — even if the community remains split. Hopefully, the rumor mill on Instagram and YouTube gets this one right.
