Get Your Bidding Ready, We’re Taking A Look At The New Every Watch Auction

The Every Watch Auction

Brace yourself, there’s a new watch auction that started today and this is one that I’m excited to share. Scottish Watches (one of the most popular and quite frankly, the most hilariously entertaining) watch podcasts out on the airwaves has put together the very first “Every Watch Auction”. Unlike many of the major watch auctions we have become accustomed to reading about with watches from the upper echelons of luxury, the Every Watch auction focuses on a collection of 9 timepieces from Independent UK watch brands (many of whom you may be familiar with from Instagram or attending a Wind Up Watch Fair).

This very first Every Watch auction begins today, August 16th, and runs through August 23rd. Proceeds from the auction will go to Maggie’s Centers, a charity that offers free support for cancer patients and their families during some of their most difficult moments in life. We’ve highlighted a few of our favorites in the auction below, and invite you to head over to the Every Watch Auction and bid away for this great cause!

Lot 1 - Paulin Prototype 1-1000

Originally developed by anOrdain as one of the first timepieces produced by Paulin after becoming a sister company to the well-known Scottish brand, this Prototype 1-1000 features a one-off paint sample for the dial, differentiating it from the rest of the production pieces that will be launching later this month. And with a dial developed by anOrdain, you know this collection is going to be amazing!

The details: 35mm stainless steel tonneau-shaped case; ETA 7001 manual wound movement; green suede leather strap with stainless steel clasp.

Lot 2 - Isotope Hydrium Alba

This piece-unique one-of-one dive watch is Scotland-inspired in both name and color-way. One of the more unique attributes is the enamel dial and enamel hour markers - a material rarely, if ever found in dive watches. Combined with the micro-blasted steel case, I can only imagine how much this piece would stand out in the most beautifully-hypocritical way.

The details: 44.5mm (with crown) micro-blasted stainless steel case; Landeron automatic calibre 24 movement; blue rubber strap with matching micro-blasted buckle.

Lot 4 - Christopher Ward C63 Highlander

Scottish colorways are a continued trend for the Every Watch auction and UK Independent brand Christopher Ward is fully committed with this one-of-one beauty. A special one-off of the Scottish Watches/Highlander C63 from last year (which sold out in less than a week), this is a unique opportunity to own a specialty one-of-one variation of that watch. And come on, that blue dial is absolutely incredible!

The details: 39mm stainless steel case; Selita SW200-1 mechanical automatic movement; stainless steel bracelet

Lot 6 - Fears Brunswick Ice 1 of 1

Personally my favorite in the collection for auction is this Fears Brunswick. The stunning amount of detail that Fears watches puts into every single product is something that I genuinely believe the more well-known luxury brands should take note of. And for the Every Watch auction, there is a stunning one of one ice blue dial with applied polished rhodium-plated Arabic numerals housed in a cushion-shaped case. This will be the one that I’m bidding on for the week-long auction!

The details: 37.5mm case stainless steel case (excluding crown); manual wound ETA 7001 movement; stainless steel bracelet.

Lot 7 - Studio Underdog 1 of 1 Blueberry Chronograph

No stranger to having fun in the microbrand space is Studio Underdog and this blue-on-blue beauty lives up to that reputation. Using modern-day machining, the team created a mid-century vintage silhouette on the dial while tying in a modern blue color. It’s admittedly a bit quirky and every bit as fun as you would expect any Studio Underdog timepiece to be! I know I'm itching to see this blue dégradé dial in person.

The details: 38.5mm stainless steel case; Seagull ST-1901 manual wound chronograph movement with column wheel; navy blue leather strap with steel buckle.

Lot 8 - anOrdain Prototype Model 1

Known for having some of the most gorgeous dials in the watch industry, and a waiting list that can get quite long, this one-off prototype is an exciting addition to the Every Watch Auction. The dial features horsehair fabric pressed into silver and is then overlaid with enamel. One of the most unique features of this dial is that it creates an optical illusion - as you look at the center and rotate it, the soft wavy lines you see will disappear and become parallel ridges instead. It’s sure to be a hit at this week’s auction!

The details: 37.4mm including crown stainless steel case; Sellita SW210 mechanical movement; black leather strap with steel buckle.
