A Handful of Snoopy Watches for the Child in You
As the weather is cooling down and the promise of all the festivities fast approaching, one of the things that my family and I look forward to is what we call Charlie Brown season. Whether for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year, there’s a heartwarming cartoon starring Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang to put on in the background. This also got me thinking about Snoopy watches — I don’t know if you’ve observed the same, but I’ve noticed a lot of playful Peanuts-themed watches cropping up lately. They’re made by a variety of brands and, thankfully, suited to a wide range of budgets. So, with fall in full swing, let’s have a look at a handful of Snoopy watches, ranging from old models to newer releases, and maybe we’ll find a few awesome gifts in there for the upcoming holiday season.
Swatch x Peanuts Watches

Swatch is no stranger to collaborations; well before the MoonSwatch with Omega and the Scuba Fifty with Blancpain, Swatch has been teaming up with various partners to make themed watches.
One example is the Swatch x Peanuts collection, which made its debut in November 2021 and includes various Gent (34mm) and New Gent (41mm) watches featuring Charlie Brown, Lucy, Woodstock, and of course Snoopy. One particularly notable model is the dark blue Hee Hee Hee (ref. SO29Z106) with Snoopy on the dial and Woodstock on the strap.

Cheap and cheerful, the Swatch x Peanuts quartz watches range from $95 to $165, depending on the specific reference.
Timex x Peanuts Watches

Timex has had a long history of making Peanuts watches; the first one came out in 1969! In 2020, Timex celebrated 70 years of the Peanuts with special Snoopy editions of the Q Timex 1979 Reissue, Marlin Automatic, and Timex Standard.
Fast forward to today and the comic-themed collection remains in the catalog, with plenty of fun models to choose from. Available in a variety of flavors including quartz or mechanical, large or small, digital or analog, the current Timex Snoopy watch collection ranges from $65 to $259.

Two of my favorites at the moment include the Timex Marlin Automatic x Snoopy Easy Rider 40mm (ref. TW2V63100) and Marlin Handwind 34mm (TW2V91200) with a rose gold-tone case and a Woodstock seconds hand encircling Snoopy on the floral dial.
Seiko 5 Sports 55th Anniversary Peanuts Limited Edition Watches

2023 marks the 55th anniversary of the fan-favorite Seiko 5 Sports line, and the Japanese watchmaker decided to celebrate with a pair of Snoopy watches – one diver and one field.

The first is the Seiko SRPK25 diving watch, featuring a 38mm steel case, a unidirectional bezel, and a nylon strap. The watch’s white dial includes a drawing of Snoopy holding a surfboard in the sand while the caseback depicts the beloved beagle surfing. A super cool touch is that the numbers on the bezel mimic the handwriting of Charles Schulz, the creator of the Peanuts comic strip. Limited to 8,900 pieces, the Seiko Snoopy watch SRPK25 is priced at $425.

The other version is the Seiko SRPK27 field watch, which includes a 36.4mm steel case, a black calfskin strap, and a white dial. The front of the watch shows Snoopy soaring through the air using his ears as helicopter propellors and his buddy Woodstock as the pilot while the caseback shows Woodstock parachuting back down to earth. We also see the same Charles Schulz font for the numerals on the field-style dial. Limited to 6,500 pieces, the Seiko Snoopy SRPK27 is priced at $400.
King Nerd x Bamford x Peanuts GMT Ltd Ed Snoopy Tennis
Bamford is another watch brand that has had a few Snoopy watches in its catalog. The latest one is a three-way collaboration between designer Johnny Dowell (a.k.a. King Nerd), Bamford, and Peanuts.
The King Nerd x Bamford x Peanuts GMT watch stars Tennis Snoppy on its dial, with bright neon green accents and a matching strap attached to the 40mm black steel case. Snoopy’s tennis-holding hand serves as the minute hand while the other indicates the hours. Woodstock sits at the tip of the second hand and a revolving tennis ball points to the second time zone.
Limited to 150 pieces, the Bamford Snoopy tennis watch is priced at £1,416 or around $1,700.
Omega Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award” Watches

Omega Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Awards” chronographs are perhaps the most famous of all Snoopy watches. Snoopy was named the safety mascot for NASA in 1968 and the Silver Snoopy Award program was established to improve the safety record of NASA employees and contractors. In 1970, NASA gave Omega a Silver Snoopy Award in recognition of the Speedmaster’s role in getting the astronauts of Apollo 13 home.
Omega made its first Silver Snoopy Award Speedmaster in 2003 followed by another one in 2015. The most recent version, the Omega Speedmaster 50th Anniversary Silver Snoopy Award ref. 310.32.42.50.02.001, came out in 2020 and it’s one of Omega’s most sought-after modern chronographs.

The 42mm steel case is topped with a blue ceramic bezel and paired with a blue nylon fabric strap. The white dial is home to a trio of blue registers, and the embossed silver astronaut Snoopy medallion sits inside the one at 9 o’clock. The caseback of the Omega Snoopy is delightful as it includes a mechanical animation when the chronograph is activated. It depicts Snoopy in his Command and Service Module (CSM) orbiting the far side of the moon while Earth rotates once a minute (in sync with the watch’s seconds hand) in the distance.
The current Omega Snoopy Speedmaster, which is priced at $10,600, is not limited, but it is exceedingly difficult to get given its popularity.
The Appeal Of Snoopy Watches
Let’s be honest; watch brands (and watch enthusiasts) can sometimes take themselves a little too seriously. But throw a beloved character like Snoopy on a watch, regardless of how expensive it is, and most of us won’t be able to hold back a smile.
So if you’re in the mood for a fun and nostalgic timepiece, a Snoopy watch may be what you need. In the words of Charles Schulz, “Happiness Is a Warm Puppy.”
